Introduction #Genetics term was given by w.bateson. Genetics=collectuve study of heredity and variation. Haredity = Transmission of genetics characters from parent to offspring. Variation = Individual of same species have some difference,these are called variation. G.j mendal = father of Genetics W.bateson = father of modern genetics. Morgan = father of experimental genetics.                    He perfromed experiment on drosophila                      and proposed various concepts like linkag,sex linkage,crossing over ,criss cross inheritance.
